Dear colleagues,
　We are delighted to announce that the 37th Annual Meeting of the Japan Elbow Society will be held on March 14 (Fri.) and 15 (Sat.), 2025 at Okayama Convention Center in Okayama, Japan.
　I am the second alumnus of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery of Okayama University to serve as president of the meeting, following Dr. Hiroyuki Hashizume (the 28th Annual Meeting in 2016). I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the members of the society and deeply respect the responsibility and mission of this meeting for elbow surgery in Japan. We will make every effort to prepare for this meeting to lead to further developments in elbow surgery.
　The theme of this meeting is "The Best Solution for Elbow Surgery”. Elbow surgery includes repair not only of traumatic injuries, but also of degenerative diseases, sports disorders, joint contractures, and congenital anomalies. Accurate diagnosis, selecting an appropriate treatment, and performing optimal rehabilitation can be difficult. Therefore, we hope that this meeting will provide a forum where you can discuss and find the best solutions for each process of diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of various traumatic injuries and diseases.
　The main topics of the meeting will be: 1) elbow instability, 2) total elbow arthroplasty, 3) throwing elbow, 4) lateral epicondylitis, and 5) humeral supracondylar fracture in children. In addition, we welcome podium and poster abstracts on other topics, including case reports. We also plan to invite doctors from foreign countries and traveling fellows from Korea for the first time this year. We believe that the post-COVID-19 era has arrived and hope to stimulate international exchange.
　Mid-March is the season when the plums in Korakuen Garden are in full bloom, as if in anticipation of a warm spring. Okayama Saiseikai General Hospital, Okayama University, and its alumni association are working together to welcome you to this meeting. We hope that the 37th annual meeting will be a place of enlightenment for the further advancement of both basic research and clinical practice of elbow surgery and a fruitful and beneficial meeting for every participant. We hope you'll fully enjoy not only the academic aspects but also the cuisine, local sake, and the atmosphere of Okayama Prefecture.
