It is my great honor to announce that the 27th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Anti-Aging Medicine will be held over three days, from Friday, June 11 to Sunday, June 13, 2027, at the Osaka International Convention Center, also known as Grand Cube Osaka. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all members of the Society and to everyone whose generous support and cooperation have made this congress possible.
The theme of this congress is:
“Eat, Talk, Sing, and Smile: Enjoy Healthy Longevity — Anti-Aging Science in the Era of the 100-Year Life.”
As we enter the era of the 100-year life, the role of anti-aging medicine is no longer limited to delaying aging or preventing disease. It is increasingly expected to develop as a comprehensive science that helps each individual age in a healthy, fulfilling, and meaningful manner, while remaining active and connected within society. To achieve this goal, it is essential to bring together knowledge from a wide range of disciplines, including basic science, clinical medicine, preventive medicine, nutrition, exercise, sleep, aesthetics, oral function, and social participation.
The words “eat,” “talk,” “sing,” and “smile” may sound familiar and simple, as they are part of our daily lives. However, these activities are deeply connected to the essential foundations of healthy longevity: nutrition, eating and swallowing, respiration, phonation, facial expression, communication, mental well-being, and social connection. In particular, the ability to eat through the mouth, speak with others, smile, and sing supports not only physical function but also the joy of life and human relationships. Reconsidering these everyday activities from the scientific perspective of anti-aging medicine will be highly significant in creating a society in which people can live longer, healthier, and happier lives.
At this congress, we hope to provide opportunities to learn and discuss the latest advances in aging research, clinical practice in anti-aging medicine, and evidence related to lifestyle, nutrition, exercise, sleep, and aesthetics. We also aim to address a broad range of topics, including oral function, eating and swallowing, intestinal flora, frailty prevention, cognitive function, well-being, and social implementation. We are preparing a program that will meet the expectations of a diverse range of participants, including physicians, anti-aging medicine specialists and instructors, medical staff, clinicians, researchers, and industry professionals. Through active interdisciplinary discussion, we hope that participants will gain new insights directly applicable to their clinical practice, research, and professional activities.
Osaka, the host city of this meeting, has long been known for its rich culture of food, humor, and warm human interaction. In Nakanoshima, where Grand Cube Osaka is located, we hope participants will not only engage with the latest anti-aging science, but also enjoy meaningful dialogue, academic exchange, and the spirit of healthy longevity embodied in the theme of this congress.
I sincerely hope that the 27th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Anti-Aging Medicine will serve as a fruitful forum for exploring new possibilities in anti-aging medicine in the era of the 100-year life, and for envisioning a future in which every individual can live more healthfully, more vibrantly, and more happily. I look forward to welcoming many of you to Osaka.
